What to Expect During Treatment

If so, we will formulate a treatment plan that you will review. The next step is to take digital impressions of your teeth so that lab technicians can have an accurate model that they can use to fabricate your customized trays.

The number of aligners you receive will be based on our team’s analysis of how long it will take for you to complete treatment successfully.

Once we receive your new aligners, you will return to undergo a proper fitting. We’ll explain how to put them in and take them out as well as how long you must wear them each day (20-22 hours). Each set will be worn for 1-2 weeks (based on our recommendation) before you swap them out for the next set in the series.

You will be required to maintain follow-up appointments with our team; however, you will not need to worry about these visits requiring much of your time, as there is no wire tightening required.

Using a soft-bristled toothbrush, lukewarm water, and clear soap to clean your aligners. Toothpaste is too abrasive, and hot water can warp your trays.
Keeping them in a protective case when you’re not wearing them.
Cleaning your teeth (brushing and flossing) after every meal to avoid the transference of bacteria and food particles onto your aligners.
Making sure to take your aligners out before eating or drinking (anything but water).
